MindX Speak runs over three consecutive mornings for students in Grades 8–12. Every student speaks in every session; the teaching is coached practice rather than lecture.
Students work on how they organise an idea, how they deliver it to a room, and how they respond when a question comes back at them. The course closes with each student delivering a short capstone speech to the group.
The class is capped at eight students so the instructor can hear every student speak, several times, across the three days.
Develop confidence presenting ideas and speaking in front of others.

At Dub Dub House, we believe our journey with children shouldn’t end when they outgrow LEGO. As they grow, we grow alongside them by offering new learning opportunities that match their changing interests and needs. Our partnership with MindX Studio reflects this commitment, helping teenagers develop confidence, communication, and essential life skills as they prepare for the future.
— The Dub Dub House Philosophy
Dub Dub House and MindX Studio have partnered to provide educational opportunities for teenagers in the Steveston community.
MindX Studio provides the curriculum and instruction, while Dub Dub House provides the learning space, community connections, and registration support.
Together, we aim to help students develop confidence and practical skills for the future.
Dr. Elic Chan is the founder of MindX Studio and teaches MindX Speak himself. He leads the free information session and every session of the course, so the person parents meet is the person teaching their child.
His teaching is practical: students speak, get specific feedback, and speak again. Parents are welcome to ask about the approach at the information session.
Register here and we will confirm your place, then arrange payment by e-Transfer, card, cheque or cash. There is no online payment step.
